EMONET XIV

Fourteenth International Conference on Emotions and Worklife

‘EMONET XIV’

Chicago, Illinois, USA

August 7 – 8, 2024

Welcome to the Fourteenth International Conference on Emotions and Worklife (Emonet XIV)! The Fourteenth International Conference on Emotions and Worklife will be held on August 7th and 8th, 2024 at Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Emotions research has transformed organization studies, enlightening us to the rich experiences and possibilities for adding to the quality of work and the environments in which we undertake it. Throughout this revolution, the Emotions and Worklife (Emonet) conference has provided a central meeting point for emotions scholars from around the world to share and nurture their intellectual curiosity in the area. The biannual conference is organized by the Emotions Network (Emonet) e-mail group; an international scholarly network that facilitates discussion relating to theoretical development in the study of emotion in organizations. The group was established in January 1997 and is affiliated with the Academy of Management’s Listserv. This conference will precede the 84th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM 2024), scheduled for August 9 – 13, 2024, also in Chicago.

The primary aim of Emonet XIV is to bring together scholars who study emotions in organizational life, and to provide a forum for presentation of some significant advances in this important area. Please find below the link to the Call for Papers. More details regarding programme, registration, and accommodation will be posted as they become available. A selection of conference papers from Emonet XIV will be considered for inclusion in Volume 20 of the Annual Book Series, Research on Emotion in Organizations, published by the Emerald Group. Join us in Chicago for what will be another exciting and informative gathering.

We look forward to seeing you there!
