8th Asia-Pacific Symposium on Emotions in Worklife
The Asia Pacific Symposium on Emotions in Worklife (APSEW) is now an annual event organised as part of the ANZAM Emotion and Cognition Special Interest Group (EAC SIG) development.
This year, the 8th symposium is being hosted and sponsored by the Melbourne Business School, Melbourne, Australia. The symposium is a day-long, meeting of scholars interested in the study of emotions in work.
The format of the symposium will include a keynote address by Professor Karen Jehn, an internationally renowned scholar, and will feature paper presentations as well as roundtable sessions to discuss poster presentations. Morning/afternoon tea and lunch will be provided to all participants, and the conference will conclude with a dinner at the Corkman Irish Pub near Melbourne Business School. We anticipate a full program from 9 am to 5 pm, or later if you wish to stay on for dinner.
There is no registration fee for attending the symposium. (If you attend the dinner, this will be at your expense and will need to be paid for separately.)

Accommodation is available at the conference venue, 200 Leicester Street, Carlton, Victoria 3053 for $125 per night including breakfast. This is for a comfortable single study room with ensuite (no wireless is available). See information on accommodation on the menu to the right. For bookings please send an email to Carol Gill on APSEW8@mbs.edu stating the nights you wish to stay. Please also ensure that you insert “APSEW Accommodation Booking” in the email subject heading. We can also recommend Rydges on Swanston and Quest on Finlay in Carlton. Please book directly with these hotels and ask for the Melbourne Business School rate.
